Arnold Hill primary school ran one of the few remaining school coal fired boiler plants, this offered a unique challenge in ensuring a new gas supply, and installation of a below ground gas main were in place in time to commission the replacement boiler plant during the summer shut down of 2018, we worked closely with the school at the early states to ensure design work was completed to allow application for a new meter, and whilst we commenced the removal of the large coal fire plant and associated equipment ground work was underway to allow the installation of a new gas distribution through the schools grounds, close co-ordination was needed to ensure minimal impact on the schools partners who continued to operate throughout our time on site, the was delivered on site and budget.
